Primley Wood Primary School

School Uniform

The following items form our everyday uniform for school:

  • White polo shirt
  • Jade jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt
  • Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore
  • Jade checked dress/playsuit or grey shorts for summer
  • Coordinating plain socks or tights
  • Plain black shoes without branding

Book bags are mandatory for everyone and can be purchased from the Uniwears shop.

Please note that whilst we would prefer that everyone has the branded school uniform, we appreciate that these could be outside some peoples’ budgets in which case a plain sweatshirt and polo shirt are acceptable.

Uniwears Schoolwear

Our School uniform and book bags can be purchased from Uniwears Schoolwear on Uniwears Schoolwear website, either online or at one of their shops in Harehills or Meanwood.

Our P.E. Uniform:

  • White polo shirt
  • Navy shorts
  • Appropriate footwear for inside/outside use

For winter, white polo shirts, navy jogging bottoms and a jade jumper/hoody

Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 Forest School requirements:

All of our Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 students take part in Forest School activities. This means dirt, puddles, mud and lots of fun exploring the outdoors.

They all therefore need to bring into school the following:

  • Wellies
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Waterproof bottoms

You can buy the above Forest School clothes in regular shops and online but if you’re struggling please speak to the School Office who can help with ordering them.

Coat details:

When the weather requires, please always send your child to school with a coat. In the case of bad weather and if no coat has been brought to school that day, your child will not be able to join their friends outside at breaks.

Lost property:

It is crucial that you write your child’s name into their clothes. On most uniform items, there is a space for this on the washing instructions tag. This helps us to identify clothing left behind – and at the end of the school day when we’re tidying up the clothes be given back to the owner.

If you have lost something, please speak to the class teacher or teaching assistant in the first instance. The School Office can also help.
